One of the tenets of Little League is character education. Doing the right thing--when no one is looking--because it's the right thing to do. Owning one's own mistakes / poor choices and any consequences that may accompany them.
Courage
A value Little League seeks to instill is courage. Courage is having the intestinal fortitude to try, leaving your comfort zone, in spite of the risk of failure. "Never let the fear of striking out (failure) keep you from playing the game." -Babe Ruth
Loyalty
The last of Little League's pillars is loyalty. Loyalty is dedication. Doing one's best to support and better the team and ideals larger than one's self. "Team is your family..." --The Blind Side
